How do the saliva (oral) self test kits work?

Saliva (Oral) Kits

The single-use oral fluid test kits are intended to detect the novel coronavirus SARS- CoV-2 that causes COVID-19. This test is designed for home use with self-collected oral fluid samples from symptomatic individuals who are suspected of being infected with COVID-19 within the first 7 days of symptom onset.

How do the nasal self test kits work?

Nasal Kits

The single-use nasal test kits are intended to detect the novel coronavirus SARS- CoV-2 that causes COVID-19. This test is designed for self-collected oral fluid samples and can be used before symptoms present.

Nasal Kits

Positive test results or symptomatic persons require immediate confirmatory testing using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. Negative test results do not exclude infection with COVID-19 (so face masks, social distancing and good hygiene practice must be maintained).
